Canal Trash Crane
A floating (trash?) crane in the Khlong Banglamphu canal.
The canal is a part of the northern city moat. In the early Bangkok period, the area along the canal was covered with lamphu trees, from which the canal derived its name. During King Rama V's reign (1868-1910), dead bodies would often be seen floating in the canal, or abandoned on the grounds of a nearby temple.
