The Gunpowder Bastion

This four-cornered bastion used to form the part of the upper gate. The building dates back to the end of the 14th-century, with the staircase added in 1648.

This bastion is multi-storied, with Gothic portals that once led to the town's fortified wall along its external boundary. It was reconstructed in 1958-59.
